بموجب هذا المستند نؤكد ونشهد لمجد الله وتكريم قديسيه أننا تحققنا من أن:

رفات القديس مرقص الانجيلي

قد استخرجت من مكانها الأصلي وأننا وضعناها بكل وقار في وعاء من الفضة وضع بدوره داخل صندوق فضي مشغول بفن رفيع وجوانبه من البلور أغلق بأحكام.

والوعاء معلق داخل الصندوق المذكور بخيط رفيع من الحرير الأحمر ومختوم بخاتمنا بالشمع الأحمر.

وكل هذه الإجراءات قد اتخذت لكي يتمكن حائزه من الاحتفاظ به ومن عرضه ليكون موضع الإجلال العام من قبل المؤمنين.

وإننا ننذر المؤمنين الذين قد توجد هذه الرفات بين أيديهم في يوم من الأيام بأنه لا يحق لهم أن يبيعوها أو أن يستبدلوها بأشياء أخرى مما يباع أو يشترى.

وإقراراً بذلك نسلم هذه الوثيقة موقعة منا وعليها خاتمنا،

The ******** that proves the authenticity of the Holy Relics of Saint Mark, brought from Rome to Egypt. Delivered by His Holiness Pope Paul V1 to His Grace Bishop Markos, the head of the Coptic delegation, Rome – Saturday, June 22nd 1968, Boona 15th, 1684:-


FR PETRUS CANISIUS VAN LIERDE
OF THE ORDER OF HERMITS OF ST. AUGUSTIN
WITH THE GRACE OF GOD AND BY ORDER OF THE APOSTOLIC SEE
BISHOP OF PORPHYRE
Guardian of the Relics of the Apostolic See
Assistant at His Holiness palace. to the Papa 1 See
And Vicar General of the Vatican City.
By this ******** we affirm and testify to the glory of God and the honour of his Saints that we have realized that the fragment of the bones of:

SAINT MARK THE EVANGELIST
Were drawn out of their original place. And, then, we placed them, with due reverence, in a silver vessel which was put in turn inside a silver box superbly wrought as a fine piece of art with crystal sides and firmly closed. The vessel is hung inside the box mentioned above by means of a fine red silk thread and scaled with red wax bearing our name.
All these proceedings and measures have been taken to enable the holder to keep safe and sound and to show it where it should be publicly venerated by the faithful.
We warn the faithful in whose hands these relics may fall one day that they are not entitled to sell them or to exchange them for other ******s to be sold and bought.
In acknowledgement we hand over this ******** signed by us and sealed in our name.
